INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE Saga Communications’ Manchester Radio Group is now accepting applications for Promotions and Marketing Internships!
If you are
a college-student who needs internship credit,
motivated to extend your education in radio broadcasting beyond the classroom, and
have a desire to get your foot in the door at Manchester’s most-respected group of stations, you could make a great member of the Manchester Radio Group Promotions Team!
It is the vision of the Manchester Radio Group Internship Program to:
* Educate. Provide a fun, well-rounded introduction to all facets of broadcasting by teaching the values and properties of the industry through experience and example.
* Prepare. Utilize the strengths of the Manchester Radio Group team to help students acquire additional skills and confidence to succeed in the real world.
* Respect. Recognizing that Interns are invaluable members of our team, they will be treated with fairness and equality.
College students who complete the Manchester Radio Group Internship Program will understand our stations, their format and strategic plan; plus build upon their skills to implement their personal career goals. Through education, preparation and respect, we offer the most sought after broadcast experience in New Hampshire.
The Perks. You will get the chance to attend station events, concerts, movie premieres, and private VIP listener parties. Plus, you will have the opportunity to work with department heads, on-air staff, and industry insiders - all excited to help you advance your broadcast career!
The Work. You will interact with listeners of Manchester Radio Group’s four stations on a weekly basis. By executing marketing campaigns and on-the-street promotions for clients and various charity organizations, you will become a vital asset to our success! And - of course - there’s the not-so-glamorous office work too (but the boss does get her own coffee). It is hard work - but very rewarding.
To Apply. You must be a college student who will receive college credit to obtain this unpaid position. This position would best fit students who are working to obtain a Bachelors of Science/Arts degree in Communications, Marketing, Broadcast Journalism or similar. If you are excited to learn, pay attention to detail, have a valid driver’s license, and – most importantly – know how to have fun, apply now!
**This position is unpaid and for college credit only. EOE. No phone calls please.
